4x4 Posi-Lok System - Dodge W-Series 1985-1994

4x4 Posi-Lok replaces the thermal linear actuator with a cable operated actuator that puts the driver in control of the engagement from inside the cab.

After engaging the transfer case, a one inch pull of the 4x4 Posi-Lok cable slides the shift fork and collar to connect the right front axle to the intermediate shaft and 4-wheel drive is engaged! No more waiting (& hoping) for the 4WD to engage while you slide backward down the hill! You simply reverse the procedure (push the knob back in) to disengage 4-wheel drive.

4x4 Posi-Lok is also great with lockers! When the front axle is locked, you can disengage the passenger side in order to make turns without wheel hop.

The 4x4 Perma-Lok permanently engages the Central Axle Disconnect (CAD) system and couples both front axles. Once installed, the axle disconnect system is bypassed. Now, when you engage the transfer case lever, the front end engages manually. We recommend the Perma-Lok for Off Road only vehicles that are not operated on-road.
