Description
E-coated for maximum corrosion resistance and is proudly made in the USA. Hot Stamped Boron Steel (HSBS) is an ultra-high strength, press hardened steel and is most commonly used in automotive applications for passenger impact protection because it is lightweight with an extremely high yield strength (approximately 200,000 ksi vs. mild steel at 25,000 ksi). AEV chose this material for the Colorado ZR2 Bisons skid plate package not just because of its high strength-to-weight ratio but also for its hardness and resistance to gouging.
