The King 4WD Baumer Heavy Duty Tire Carrier - JL is an incredibly unique tire carrier that will attach to your Jeep JL with or without a built-in spare tire carrier. While some tire carriers integrate the tire carrier into the bumper/tire carrier hanger, our system incorporates the bumper/tire carrier into the tire carrier itself! This allows you to keep the rear tires nice and low to the ground for greater stability and clearance.
Similar to a military aircraft hanger, our system incorporates a heavy-duty casting at the rear of the tire carrier, whereas, most cast systems only seat tires against the RTG (Reinforced Tail Gate) Hinge, creating a stronger overall component. The King 4WD Baumer Heavy Duty Tire Carrier also has adjustment screws to fine tune the opening and closing of the tire carrier to eliminate tire and hinge vibration that can disturb the ride of your tire!
Based on customer feedback, we developed our RTG (Reinforced Tail Gate) Hinge to distribute the tire weight across the tailgate for maximum strength.
